Congratulations ISMS Team

Congratulations Polestar ISMS Team for a project completion well done! From 2015 to 2021, Polestar provided personnel to a prime contractor at the Hanford Site for an Integrated Safety Management System Surveillance (ISMS) Team. The team provided the client with an in-depth understanding of their implementation of the Department of Energy’s ISMS requirements. The team, consisting of Tom Davies, Patty Bailey, Morgan Spaman, Charmaine Busler, Lisa Eilertsen, and Bryan Coles conducted 115 surveillances in the field, covered 42 different types of work groups, and interviewed/observed over 2500 Exempt and Bargaining Unit personnel, provided real-time feedback and opportunities for continuous improvement to management and workers. The team also conducted extensive reviews of safety documentation with recommendations for improving safety processes. This effort was recognized by the Office of Enterprise Assessments, EA-31, U.S. Department of Energy as a best practice in its report, “Assessment of Safety Culture Sustainment Processes at U.S. Department of Energy Sites”.
