Protégé to CH2M Hill Plateau Remediation from 2019 – 2021

In 2019 we were honored to chosen to establish a Mentor-Protégé relationship with CH2M Hill Plateau Remediation Company (CHPRC) under the DOE’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization. Under this relationship Polestar has had the opportunity to continue building our qualifications on critical projects at Hanford such as the 105KW Basin D&D Planning, Design review and modification of the 105KE Safe Storage Enclosure (SSE) and SSE construction planning in addition to the development of waste retrieval strategies for the 105KW Fuel Storage Basin.
Polestar’s experience within the DOE includes work at the Idaho National Laboratory, Nevada National Security Site, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, Y-12 Security Complex and Savannah River Site among others. In 2019 our presence expanded to include work at the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant in Carlsbad, New Mexico. In addition to our DOE work, Polestar continues to provide support to several commercial clients and recently established a relationship with Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) to sublicense and provide technical support for EPRI’s Computer Aided Fault Tree Analysis (CAFTA) Software.
Polestar continued to support the local community during 2019 as an active participant in the STEM Program, Junior Achievement, the Tri-Cities Food Bank and Bikes for Tikes. Polestar is a woman-owned small business located in Washington State.
